Charlie was a wonderful friend. He shared many holiday dinners with us. He loved taking pictures of birds and flowers and his many trips out west and loved to share them with others. He loved animals and especially his chihuahua Carmen. We will miss you Charlie, Jill and Jim

I had Mr. Rhodes as my Art Teacher at Port Charlotte Junior High (a.k.a. PCMS). I loved art because of him and he was such a great teacher. I remember seeing him driving around Port Charlotte and we would wave at each other. You will be missed RIP Mr. Rhodes.

I have very similar memories of Mr. Rhodes as Danny. I remember 1992, being assigned to his homeroom, and being so upset because i thought he was so mean. Turns out thats was my favorite memory of middle school. Mr. Rhodes put on a tough teacher persona, but was truly a softy inside. I am by no means an artist, but to this day i look for vanishing points in pieces of work. I also think of Mr. Rhodes everytime i see the movie Labyrinth, as he would put that movie in at any possible time. Thank you for all the memories Mr. Rhodes!

I had the privilege of being a student of Mr. Rhodes while attending P.C.M.S, at the time he was an Art teacher, and I remember often not wanting to go to the next class because I wanted to keep working on various drawing projects. To this day I still doodle off and on 3 point perspective drawings of building city scenes. It's like I can hear him asking me... does it lead to the vanishing point? My appreciation for art and artistic expression had only grown from there, It's from these life building lessons that I realize, had it not been for in this case Mr. Rhodes methods of teaching, I might have otherwise missed out on such an enriching perspective. Thank you Mr. Rhodes
