Obituary of Winifred L. Carr

Winifred L. Carr, 89, of Englewood, Florida gained her wings to be with the Lord on March 28, 2015 at her home. She was born February 6, 1926 in Union City, Pennsylvania to Benjamin and Edna (nee Van Epps) Shreve. She attended Bloomfield Public Schools and graduated in 1944. In 1952, she moved to Germany and returned to Fredricksburg, Ohio in 1955 where she met the love of her life and soul mate of 55 years. Both worked at Wooster Printing in Wooster, OH until retiring to Englewood in 1982. She enjoyed anyone who would come to visit. All were welcomed with open arms from family and friends to a complete stranger. She also enjoyed doing crafts. She attended First Baptist Church of Englewood and loved Pastor John as well as all her church family. Winifred is survived by her husband, Richard; 3 sisters; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, 2 daughters, Debbie Cholley and Winnie Weaver, 2 sisters, and a brother. Burial will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood, FL.
