Obituary of William J. Smith

William J. Smith, 76, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at Tidewell Hospice in Arcadia. Mr. Smith was born December 7, 1938 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to William Joseph and Roberta (nee Snyder) Smith. He worked as a waste water supervisor for the county and was of Mormon faith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Betsy J. Smith of Punta Gorda; son, William Craig (Christina) Smith of Port Charlotte, FL; daughter, Joy L. Moder of Punta Gorda; brother, Robert Jack (Audrey) Smith of Saxonburg, PA; and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Roberta Eileen Smith. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, March 2, 2015 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1303 Forrest Nelson Boulevard in Port Charlotte.
