Obituary of Rupert Cornelius Gumbs

Rupert C. Gumbs 91, of Port Charlotte, formerly of Patterson, NJ died on December 13 in Port Charlotte FL. He was born in the Eastern Caribbean on 15 June, 1923 and was married to Gloria Beener in 1970. Rupert had been previously married and had nine children He is survived by a loving family, including Gloria. He was employed as a sea going mechanic on ocean going merchant vessels. Visitation will be from 11am to 12pm on Tuesday, December 30th, with a service at 12pm. Both services will be held at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Rd in Punta Gorda.
