Obituary of Noah David Montgomery

Noah David Montgomery .... God's Gift To Us on March 28, 1996 and Heaven Bound December 10, 2014 Noah was born at Langley Air Force base in Hampton, VA. He weighed in at 11lbs, the nurses called him "Bruiser"! Noah's 2 older brothers, Nicholas & Mitchell couldn't wait for him to join our family. When Noah was three we all moved to Annapolis, MD where his dad retired from the Navy after 23 years. However, before moving from MD to North Port, FL Noah's younger brother Isaac was born & now our family of 6 was complete! In Noah's earlier years he received trophies in all different sports, but mostly what he enjoys doing is playing video games & singing. Noah went to Genesis Christian School in Port Charlotte, Middle school he attended Woodland, and then graduated with a 3.3 GPA (despite the Hodgkin's Lymphoma he was dealing with) from North Port High school this year. Noah attended chorus classes, theatre, keyboard...anything musical involving his friends by his side made him happiest. Noah had a hard decision on what he wanted to major in college, but he finally decided to pursue Game Design & Animation Media. Noah was registered at the Art Institute of Tampa, but he never got to attend due to being overwhelmed with sickness. Noah is kind, always filled with encouragement for others, never wanting the focus to be on himself. Noah is humble, when people praised him, he simply felt as though it was NO BIG deal...he put others first. Noah is a gentle guy, very sensitive to people's feelings. He is trusting, staying away from rude behaviors & wrong doing...he was a friend to all! We will miss playing family games with Noah, we will miss his generous smile, but mostly we will miss the love he gave so cheerfully. Noah liked going to church, he loves Jesus with all his heart, and he trusted God would bring forth a complete, permanent healing here on earth. The 2 years that Noah endured this disease he never wavered in his faith, through prayer his family & friends were standing with Noah believing for that miracle. We don't know why God didn't allow this to happen, but we do know that we didn't lose Noah. We know exactly where he is, and he isn't in pain any longer. The immediate family that remains here to continue Noah's legacy.... Parents: Pete & Kim Montgomery Brothers: Nicholas, Mitchell & Isaac Montgomery Cousin: Tommy Richards Grandparent: Benny Strickland Aunts: Lori Stambaugh, Kathy & Beth Strickland Uncles: David Essenburg, Rob Stambaugh, and Randy & Brian Strickland His friends & family are welcome to gather for a Celebration of Noah's Life at South Biscayne Baptist Church in North Port on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:00AM.
