Obituary of James Allen Counts

James Allen "Jimbo" Counts, 46, passed away suddenly at home in Punta Gorda on June 7, 2011. He was born in Balboa Hospital in San Diego, California on February 9, 1965 to Jimmie A. and Joan (nee Schutz) Counts. James had lived in Japan, England, and Morocco before moving to Port Charlotte almost 40 years ago. He was a graduate of Charlotte High and Charlotte Technical Center. Although currently disabled, he had worked as a chef for several restaurants over the years. James is survived by his parents, Joan and Jim Counts; his brother, William; and his sisters, Carol and Mary and their families; and also by his daughter, Nichole Lynn. James was a man of God and services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 7:00PM at the Fountain of Faith Church in Port Charlotte.
