Obituary of Magdalene Wilson

Magdalene Wilson, 90, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Wilson was born March 31, 1921 in Anderson County, Tennessee to Matt and Alice (nee Stewksbury) Melton and moved to this area 44 years ago from Alexandria, Virginia. She was a homemaker and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Punta Gorda. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her sons, Reverend Wendell (Nancy) Wilson of Bradenton, FL, Jerry (Susan) Wilson of Port Charlotte, Dennis Wilson of Port Charlotte, and Donald Reese (Linda) Wilson of Port Charlotte; daughters, Judy Dudley of Port Charlotte, Brenda (William) Bachert of Sarasota, FL, and Gail (Tim) Bell of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Homer Melton of Louisville, KY and J. T. Melton of Knoxville; 27 Grandchildren; 49 Great-Grandchildren; and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence and daughters, Wanda Faye Wilson and Margie Lyn Robinson. Visitation will be from 11:00AM - 12:00PM on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Church of God of Prophecy, 662 Cooper Street in Punta Gorda. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00PM at the church.
