Obituary of Lucy E. Herron

Lucy E Herron, 94, 0f Port Charlotte, FL formerly of Lima, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, FL. She was born to the late, Laffayette Hudson and Annabelle Snowball (nee: Rickman) Banks on June 20, 1920 in Carthagenia, OH. She was the baby of 12 children. Lucy was the owner of Nancy Lu Day Care in Lima, OH. Coming to Port Charlotte in 1979 with her husband of 63 years, Joseph who predeceased her, also preceded in death, her parents, 11 siblings, daughter, Nancy Herron Howard, and grandson, Kevin S. Maddox, II. She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. She is survived by her son, Gail (Florencia) Herron; daughter, Donna Maddox; 12 grandchildren, Mark D (Samantha) Batties, IV, Shawn M. Batties, Robin L. (Maurice) Pritchett, Glenda Herron, P. Arron Howard, Michelle M (James) Giganti, Joann Herron, Ashley N. Maddox, Anthony T. Maddox, Gabrielle L Maddox, Joseph M. Herron, Tiffany R. Maddox; 13 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte, 21505 Augusta Ave, Port Charlotte, FL 33952 in Lucy's memory Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Chapel, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 941 639 1171 Funeral Service 12:00 PM, and Lucy's final rest will follow in Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
