Obituary of Mildred Louise Karr

Mildred Louise Karr (nee;Teaford), of Port Charlotte Florida, passed away on June 10, 2014 following a brief illness. Mildred was born in Antiquity, Ohio on November 2, 1927, to the late, Glen and Sara Edith (nee; Roush) Teaford. She was married to Charles Richard Karr Jr.; they were happily married for 62 years, Mildred was a homemaker and bookkeeper. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte, she cherished time spent with family, was an avid bridge player and loved golf. Mildred is preceded in death by her beloved husband, "Rich" Karr, brothers, Harold, Ernest, Virgil, Earl, Cecil, and John Wayne Teaford. Mildred is survived by sons, Rodney Karr, wife Kathryn (Hannis) of Racine, Ohio, Jeffrey Karr and wife Linda (Lowther) of Port Charlotte, Florida, grandchildren Rory Karr, Jay Karr, Celeste and Alyssa Karr, along with four great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Juanita Davis of Boardman, Ohio and Dorothy Bentz of Racine, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Tidewell Hospice or the charity of your choice in Mildred's Memory. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 12:00 PM to1:00 PM. A casual Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, her final rest will follow in Unit III Mausoleum at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
