Obituary of Neil Ralph Nesler

Neil Ralph Nesler, 81, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Aurora, Illinois, passed away on June 5, 2014. He was born to the late, Edward and Sarah (nee: Bell) Nesler, March 15, 1933 in Dundee, Illinois; He spent most of his life in the Aurora, IL area were he worked as a delivery man for a local dairy company. He proudly served honorably during the Korean Conflict, in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose, Elks, and Eagles. Neil loved to cook, especially for his family and friends. He had a passion for gardening and enjoyed music his entire life. He was a fanatic fan of the Chicago Clubs and Bears, always looked forward to watching college basketball. Neil had a great sense of humor and a quick wit; he loved to make people laugh; Truly an amazing man, loved by many, now at peace. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lavon "Bonny" Bonleoski; brothers, Gene, Vern, and Tom; first wife, Dolores, and second wife, Bonnie. He is survived by his 3 loving daughters, Cheryl Rung and her husband Peter, Linda Brentzel and her husband Dan, and Barbara Ambre and her husband Mike; brother, Tra Nesler; 6 grandchildren, Eric Rung, Amanda Voelker, Andrew Wiedrich, Alison Wiedrich, Joseph Ambre, and Heather Ambre; 4 great grandchildren, Luke and Jake Voelker and Jackson and Madison Rung; numerous nephews and nieces; considered himself to be blessed with countless friends and neighbors that he considered family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts, may be made to DAV, American Kidney Foundation and/or American Cancer Association.
