Obituary of Jan Paul Majkut

Jan Paul Majkut, 66, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte. Mr. Majkut was born April 11, 1944 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Emil and Eleanor (nee Barnowski) Majkut and moved to this area 17 years ago from Milford, CT. He worked as a State Trooper for the state of Connecticut. Mr. Majkut was a member of St. Joseph National Catholic Church in Stratford, CT and attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Mr. Majkut is survived by his wife, Janet M. Majkut of Port Charlotte; son, Keith A. (Karen) Majkut of Dunstable, MA; daughter, Jan Marie Majkut of Port Charlotte; 4 grandchildren, Danielle Chittem, Marco Guzman, Benjamin Majkut, and Susanna Majkut; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at Larson Funeral Home, Inc. in Bridgeport, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at St. Joseph National Catholic Church in Stratford, CT.
