Obituary of Cheryl DeScalzo

Cheryl A. DeScalzo, 54, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. Cheryl was born October 15, 1959 in Staten Island, New York to Thomas and Michelle (nee Muldoon) O'Connell and moved to this area 35 years ago from there. She was a homemaker and was of Catholic faith. Cheryl is survived by her sons, Daniel DeScalzo and his wife, Marissa, of North Port, FL, Cory DeScalzo of Port Charlotte, and Devin DeScalzo-Montgomery of Port Charlotte, FL; daughter, Alicia DeScalzo of Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island, NY; parents, Thomas and Michelle O'Connell of Port Charlotte; brother, John J. O'Connell and his wife, Michele, of Port Charlotte; companion, John Morgan; and 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James in 1983 and Thomas Jr. in 1986. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel with mausoleum entombment to follow.
