Obituary of Loretta Sue Collins

Loretta "Sue" Collins, 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida formerly of Woodlyn, Pennsylvania, died March 5, 2014 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Collins was born September 23, 1929 in Milton, Delaware to the late Emery and Grace (nee Callaway) Postles of Laurel, Delaware and moved to this area 56 years ago from Woodlyn, Pennsylvania. Sue worked at Sallie Jones Elementary School from 1971 - 1988 in the classrooms and later doing clerical work in the office. Also, she was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte where she was involved with Sunday School Class and sang in the choir. Mrs. Collins is mother to Linda L. Towles of North Port, FL and Dawn M. Collins of Port Charlotte; grandmother to Keith B. Towles, Amy L. Moore, and Angela M. Larson; great-grandmother to Madison and Mason Michalski, Gavin and Gage Towles, and Justin Larson and Lela Evett; and sister to Virginia VanHorn of Dover, DE. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, the late William E. "Bill" Collins in November 2013. The Family will receive friends from 11:00AM - 12:00PM on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church, 20035 Quesada Boulevard in Port Charlotte. Funeral Services will be at 12:00PM at the church. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
