Obituary of James G. Loia

JAMES G. LOIA, 55, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Jim was born October 12, 1958 in Yonkers, New York to Angelo V. and Joan H. (nee DiSilvestro) Loia and moved to Port Charlotte 4 months ago from Mt. Vernon, NY. He worked in maintenance for parks and recreation and was of Catholic faith. Jim is survived by his mother, Joan H. Loia of North Port, FL; sisters, Cynthia A. Kelly and her husband, Kenneth of Port Charlotte, FL and Sandra M. Elezaj and her husband, Peter of Somers, NY; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Paul Schelm Funeral Home, 12687 SW County Road 769 (Kings Highway) in Lake Suzy. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00PM at the funeral home. Additional services will be held in Yonkers, NY. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY.
