Obituary of William Laux Voigt

William Laux Voigt, 70, of Arcadia, Florida passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Mr. Voigt was born October 16, 1942 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to William C. and Verneda S. (nee Laux) Voigt and moved to this area 5 years ago. He worked as a professional dog breeder and field dog trainer for Huntrails Kennels in Metamora, Michigan. Mr. Voigt was a member of the Elks Lodge in Punta Gorda; a member of the Professional Field Trainer Association and Hall of Fame recipient; a member of the golf league; and was also a member of the Tea Party. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Vietnam War and was of Methodist faith. Mr. Voigt is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Diane E. (nee Daniels) Voigt of Fort Ogden; son, Robert L. (Maria) Wood of Attica, MI; daughters, Sherry E. (Louis) Conrad of Attica, MI and Debra Ann Wood of Brighton, CO; sister, Barbara Mikhail of Wauwatosa, WI; 2 grandchildren; and 1 niece.
