Obituary of Walter Lloyd Sexton

Walter Lloyd, Sexton, Sr., 74, of Punta Gorda, FL formerly of St. Charles, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center Punta Gorda. He was born to the late Troy and Sarah (nee; Lawson) Sexton on December 14, 1939 in St. Charles, VA. Serving honorably in the U.S. Army during peace time, and working most of his life in produce. He is preceded in death by his wife Deanna; children, Brenda and David; sister, Peggy Sexton Poff. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Diana Sexton Chanza and her husband Jose; son, Walter Lloyd Sexton, Jr. and his wife Zoe; brother Jimmy D Sexton and his wife Delma; 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, multiple nieces, and nephews; loving companion of 13 years Marie Green. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM Service will be conducted at 1:00 PM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, Fl 941-639-1171, his final rest will follow at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
