I first learned that Tom had cancer when he was not greeting visitors from behind the Administration desk. I was terribly sad thinking that I would never see him again. And then one day, he was back. I was so thrilled to see him and told him how I had missed him so. He was a charming man who always knew who you were and acknowledged everyone with his winning smile and his ability to offer a cheery word. He was the consummate professional greeter and you just knew he enjoyed his job by the way he treated others. Tom - we all miss you and you will always have a special place in my heart. -- Becky Bovell

Tom was such a special guy. Always had a smile on his face. He always called me Ms. D and I called him Mr. T. He had such a warm personality and always greeted everybody with a smile. He will be missed by many. He was such a pleasure to work with. Farewell, Mr. T....

I've known Tom for over 13 years. I met him while working at Dillards, and loved his willingness to help everyone and anyone. When I started with the County, I was thrilled to see that he was there, too. He was such a warm and loving man who would joke with you or ask about your family members. Our running joke was that we needed a "suggestion" box, as no one had a place to request, vent, or give ideas. He would have loved to see one sitting at the reception desk that he shared with Chuck. I know he is at peace and watching the world from above ~

Tom was that ray of sunshine that brightened the room for everyone around him. No matter how grim of a day I was facing, he was always there with a smile that would make my day a little bit better. It takes a special kind of person to lighten the load of everyone around him no matter what burden he may have already been carrying. Tom set the example all of us should try to follow.

I had the pleasure of seeing Tom here at the County office building almost daily and will truly miss him. His smile was so warm and the first thing we saw when we walked into work. It helped us start each day on a positive note and for that I am grateful. My deepest sympathy to Tom's family and loved ones. Rest assured in knowing he is in a much better place still smiling down on all of us. God bless the Webb family.

We called each other "Mr.Tom".
One day Tom asked me how I was. I told him that God let me wake up today so the rest is easy. You can imagine his response. "The Lord Giveth and The Lord Taketh Away".
God gave us Tom and now he wants him back, can you blame him?

Thomas was a joy to have met and know. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He is a good soul. He always had a smile for everyone he met. I kiddingly would tell him to take the rest of the day off whenever I passed the front desk. Now I can truly say "Thomas, take the rest of the day off. You have deserved your rest in God's bosom. Rest in peace Thomas"

Every sentiment here has mentioned Tom's unwaiveringly bright and cheery disposition, and how a smile and a few words from him would bring sunshine to our spirits. I feel truly blessed that God allowed the wonderful soul He created to be among us for a time, and now that He has called Tom back, all heaven is rejoicing at the joy he brought, and the work he has done on this earth in His name. Sing glory to our Lord for Thomas Webb, and may his memory grow stronger in each of us all our days.
