Obituary of Gregorio Togonon Perez

Gregorio Togonon Perez, DDM, 89, of Port Charlotte, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2013 under the care of Tidewell Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 17, 1924 in Hinundayan, Leyte, Philippines to the late Antero and Natividad Perez. Graduated in Dentistry at the College of Oral and dental Surgery in Manila, Philippines in 1952, worked with the Board of education as a public school dentist in the Province of Samar. Dr Gregorio Perez established a private dental office in Manila and then traveled to Germany in 1963 and took a post graduate course in Dental Orthodontic Surgery at the Bonn University, when completed this course he worked as a civilian for the 768 U.S. Armed Forces in Mannheim, West Germany. Dr. Gregorio Perez then Immigrated to the United States in 1967 when he married his bride Victoria Urbano on June 3, 1967, he worked for the Jersey City Medical Center and the Pollock Hospitals in Jersey City, NJ. Retired in 1992 and moved to Port Charlotte in 1995 with his wife Victoria. Dr Gregorio, his wife and family enjoyed worldwide travel, and cruises. He was a Member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Haiyan Relief Fund in the Philippines. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Victoria; daughter, Victoria Constancia Perez who married Dean Louis Bennett and grandson, Alec Gregorio Bennett of Simi Valley, CA. Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spear Street, Pt.
