Obituary of Paul B Conway

Paul Bernard Conway, 91, of North Port, Florida formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 under the care of Quality Health Care of North Port. He was born to the late John S and Martha A (nee: Tracy) Conway, on October 2, 1922 in Sioux City, Iowa. Paul served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater 1943 to 1946. Paul was a machinist for various railroads, retiring after 41 years of service. Paul retired and moved to Florida with his beautiful wife of 57 years, Anna Arlene and they were long time residents of La Casa Park in North Port. He was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church of North Port. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Arlene, brothers, Richard, John and Robert, and sister, Naomi. Family of Paul is deeply grateful for the loving care to Paul, special thanks to sisters-in-law Joanne Cotton and Karen Elonen, the staff at Quality Health Care of North Port and Tidewell Hospice. Memorials gifts can be made to San Pedro Catholic Church or Tidewell Hospice. Survivors include step-sons, Allen (Anne) McKie of St. George, UT and Mel (Sherry) McKie of Creston, IA and two nieces, Rosemary Cannon and Carolyn Valladao of California. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at San Pedro Catholic Church, 34287 Tamiami Trail, North Port, FL 34287 941-426-2500 Family will receive friends just prior to Mass at San Pedro's Entombment will follow to Charlotte Memorial Cemetery Arrangements by Charlotte memorial Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery 941-639-1171
