Obituary of Augustus Adam Archis

Augustus Adam Archis, 87, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte. Mr. Archis was born January 29, 1923 in Salem, Massachusetts to Joseph and Valerie (Rostkowska) Archis and moved to this area 30 years ago from Lynn, MA. He worked as a production planner for General Electric Corp. and was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army. Mr. Archis attended San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Mr. Archis is survived by his brother, Ronald F. (Rita) Archis of Hendersonville, NC; sister, Constance Archis of Salem, MA; several nieces and nephews; and devoted friend, Joann Powell of Port Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane, 2 brothers, John and Alfred, and 2 sisters, Viola and Emma. Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
