Obituary of Leroy D. James

Leroy E. James, 76, of North Port, Florida passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL. Mr. James was born June 4, 1936 in Guyana, South America to George and May (nee Canzius) James. He worked as a CNA for a hospital and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in North Port. Mr. James is survived by his wife, Zenora P. (nee Souvenir) James of North Port; daughter, Lucia Goshay of Phenix City, AL; brothers, Neville (Shirley) James of Maryland, Shanon James of New York, and Carl (Vasil) James of California; sisters, Yvonne Lewis and Lynette Plass, both of New York and Morna Bernard and Desiree (Michael) Souvenir, all of California; two grandchildren, Daren D. Goshay, Jr. and Nick Goshay; and one great-grandchild, Jeremiah L. Goshay. Family will receive friends from10-11:00AM on Friday, April 12, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, 5600 S. Biscayne Drive in North Port. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM at the church with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
