Obituary of Stella Lillian Coudriet

Stella Johnson-Bigelow-Coudriet, 101, died on March 25, 2013 in Port Charlotte, Florida. Stella was born on a farm in Kansas on October 6, 1911. After graduating from high school, she moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she worked in the food industry. Stella retired after 30 years of service as manager of the Colonial Room of Hardings Restaurant. Always adventurous, Stella moved to Florida, where she joined Christ Community United Methodist Church and served as greeter and head usher for many years there as well. Stella was President of the United Methodist Women, a program director of Church Women United, an officer of Harbour Heights Fire Auxiliary, President of the Harbour Heights Women's Club, and a loyal member of the Harbour Heights Civic Association. Stella is survived by a stepson, Leon B. (Georgia) Coudriet of Fernley, NV; a stepdaughter, Donna (James) Gavin of Litchfield, NH; 5 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many friends in Harbour Heights and Port Charlotte. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 1:00PM at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 27000 Sunnybrook Road in Harbour Heights. Reverend Duane W.
