Obituary of Robert Martin DiNicola

Robert Martin DiNicola passed away on January 27, 2023, at his home in Punta Gorda, Florida. He was the son of the late Ronald and Margaret DiNicola of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. Rob was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1978. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force where he served from 1981-1987. Rob lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, for several years and later moved to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. In 2011 Rob married his wife and best friend, Kim Marie O’Brien, in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Rob and Kim enjoyed 10 years of marriage until Kim passed away in October 2021. Before retiring to Punta Gorda, Florida, Rob worked as a maintenance mechanic for Sodexo in student housing at West Chester University. Rob loved life, especially time spent at the beach. He thoroughly enjoyed his time in the sun: fishing, kayaking, and boating with family and friends. Rob was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and had an affinity for cars. His precious pets were always an important part of his life. Rob is survived by his daughter Brittani Trujillo; his sisters Ronna Righter and Cynthia (John) Henry; five nieces and two great-nieces. He is also survived by his step-children: Kevin (Amanda) Fleming, Ryan Fleming, and Rebekah (Hamza Rachdi) Fleming; parents-in-law Joseph O’Brien, Sr. and Helen O’Brien; brother-in-law Joseph (Julie) O’Brien, and sister-in-law Sharon O’Brien; and his beloved pets Cassie and Roja. In addition to his wife, Rob was preceded in death by his loving parents and brother-in-law, Jack Righter. Rob will be greatly missed by his family and friends in Pennsylvania and Florida.
