Obituary of Robert Van Price

Robert V. Price of Punta Gorda, FL passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020. He was 75 years old. Robert was born on October 3, 1945 in Corning, NY to Robert and Ida (Cushing) Price. A dedicated Navy veteran, Robert proudly served in the Vietnam War and completed his service on the USS Ticonderoga, earning the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star. Robert completed his bachelor's degree and greatly enjoyed his career as an engineer for the Department of Defense. He and his family were fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel extensively and see the world through his work. Robert enjoyed many things including fishing, baseball and football, but most of all, he cherished his time spent with the love of his life, wife Christine of 48 years, their three children and other beloved family and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his wife in 2018 and is survived by his daughters, Andrea Robinson and Jamie (Bob) Gormley and son, Daniel (Rebecca) Price; grandchildren, Dustin, Garrett, Bailey, John, Amber, Madison, Madeline, Michael and Sophia; great grandchildren, Tiana and Sawyer and other beloved family. There will be a military service with Navy Honors for Robert at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL. Following the service, he and Christine will be laid to rest together forever.
