Obituary of Walter Thomas Woelfle

Walter T. Woelfle of Burnt Store Marina, formerly of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and Brooklyn, New York died on Thursday, February 2 at the age of 75. He was the son of Walter M. and Nellie Woelfle. He was Vice President - Legal and Secretary for American Transmission Company in Wisconsin. Prior to that he was Director of Legal at Wisconsin Electric. He was a graduate of Fordham Law, City College of New York, and Brooklyn Tech. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Punta Gorda, and St. Anthony’s on the Lake in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He was also a member of Platinum Point Yacht Club. Walter’s interests included gardening, especially hot peppers and orchids, sail and power boating, collecting shells on the beach, traveling, and his grandchildren. Walter will be dearly missed by his wife Mary Ann Woelfle, daughter Lara Marie (Woelfle) Evans, son Joseph (Claire Seuffert) Woelfle, and grandchildren Julianne, Joseph Jr., and Elizabeth. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Friday, February 17 at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home in Punta Gorda. His funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 17 at Sacred Heart Parish in Punta Gorda at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Waukesha, Wisconsin with services at a later date. In lieu of flowers, masses in Walter’s name or memorials may be made to Wisconsin Right to Life (5317 N 118th Court Milwaukee, Wi 53225) Community Pregnancy Center of Port Charlotte (950 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte FL 33953), or the American Heart Association. The family expresses their gratitude to their family, their friends and neighbors in the Burnt Store Community who offered their support and condolences.
