Mary Ann, I knew Walter when we were both baby lawyers, Walter at the NYSPSC and I representing Rochester Gas & Electric. We kept in contact after you moved to Wisconsin. I am so sad for your loss. It was clear to me how much you meant to him. Walter was a formidable but fair adversary. I admired him immensely and valued his friendship. You are in my prayers, Scott Turner scottmt1948@gmail.com

Dear Mary Ann and Family,
I am so very sorry to hear of Walter's passing. We spent 23 years working together, both in the Environmental Department and then in Legal at We Energies. I always say that I am the person I am today because of the many years I worked for Walter. I am so sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to you.

Dear Mary Ann and Family,
We were so sad to learn of Walt's passing. When he was a member of Wisconsin Electric's Environmental Department (ED), I have many fond memories of Walt's work in the ED but especially his first day on the job for the ED...we sat next to each other in the WE employment office as we checked in for our new jobs at the same time!!
Elaine and I hope that your own fond and happy memories of your life together willl help ease the sorrow of his passing and bring you comfort. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Dave and Elaine Michaud

We will never forget the wonderful times we had as neighbors in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Walter was a wonderful host at numerous neighborhood parties. He was intelligent, kind, and well-versed in so many areas. Steve and I were delighted to reunite with the Woelfle’s in Florida the past couple years. We will always cherish our memories of him. Our deepest condolences to Mary Ann and and the entire family.

Mary Ann and Family, we grieve for Walter as well. We remember him as a loving family man, a loyal friend and talented professional colleague. Walter, in my experience, set an example in his life for his faith, friendship and ethical business conduct. We’ve enjoyed your friendship and hospitality in Pewaukee and especially in travelling together with both of you to Russia (picture). God welcome him and bless you all.

Mary Ann, Lara and Joseph, So sorry to hear about Walter leaving us. We certainly have some wonderful memories. I'm reminded about the time Walter was bringing wine for something and it suggested he bring a bottle without a screw top!! And now, screw tops are the way to preserve wines!! I think about Walter and our gatherings whenever I see a screw top. Let's get together if you are visiting Milwaukee. My condolenses to all.
Love, Candee Erickson
