Obituary of Carol Marie Morse

Carol Marie Morse, 69, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away from cancer at her home on Saturday, January 14, 2023. She was born and raised in Aurora, IL on March 6, 1953, to Mary and Edward Michels. Carol will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter, Sandra Samberg; son, Erik (Tiffany) Morse; and grandchildren, Braden, Bryce and Brent Morse; as well as her four brothers (Tom, Ken, John and Joe) and two sisters (Mary Pat and Cele). Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard L. Morse; mother, Mary Michels; and father, Edward Michels. Carol graduated from Aurora Catholic High School in 1971. She performed work as a Secretary at Sealmaster Bearing manufacturing and was also a Dispatch Operator for the Aurora Police Department, where she would later meet her husband, Richard. She married Richard Louis Morse on April 20,1974 in Aurora, IL and together lived in Aurora until 1991 when they moved to Port Charlotte, FL. After moving to Florida, Carol began working in administrative assistant roles and retired from RE/Max reality in 2020. Carol made many favorite memories taking trips and vacations and spending holidays and special occasions with her family. She also had a passion for helping children and loved teaching Sunday School at her church. She led and participated in many bible study groups, Vacation Bible School, and assisted with the church’s homeless ministry. Carol’s other hobbies included crafting, gardening, and she was a fitness enthusiast. She mostly enjoyed jogging, biking, yoga, and Zumba/dance fitness classes. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 pm on February 7, 2023, at New Day Christian Church located at 20212 Peachland Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33954.
