Obituary of Shirley Ann Wheeler

Shirley Ann Wheeler (born Waters) passed away on December 29, 2022, at the Port Charlotte Center for Nursing and Rehab in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was 87 years old. She was born in Dade City, Florida to John W. and Mattie Christine (born Davidson) Waters on May 22, 1935. She graduated from Desoto County High School in 1954. She became an interview clerk. She married Clifford Wheeler on December 29, 1956, in Kingland, Georgia. She was a resident to Port Charlotte, Florida for 20 years. Shirley was a part of the Family Church and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and traveling. Shirley was predeceased by her parents and brothers. Shirley is survived by her husband, Clifford Wheeler; children, Clitia (Charles) South, Steven (Mary Jo) Wheeler; three granddaughters, Jamie (Andy Heine) Atherton, Ashley (James) Hohmann, Brandy Wheeler; six great-grandchildren, Savanna, Phoenix, Archur, Gavin, Madalynn and Keagan. There will be a service on January 21, 2023, at the Family Church on 20035 Quesada Ave in Port Charlotte, Florida.
