Obituary of Steven Wilson

Steven Wilson, 66, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away at his home late September 2022. He was born in Sarasota, Florida on December 14, 1955 and had lived in Florida most of his life. Being raised in Osprey Florida on Little Sarasota Bay he enjoyed boating and fishing with his family & friends. In 1974 he graduated from Venice High School. While preparing to go into Banking he was a Life Guard at Nokomis Beach where he had the privilege to be able to save some from drowning and an untimely deaths. Banking lead into being an entrepreneur and Real-estate. He was a member of The SONS of AMVETS POST 2000 in Warm Mineral Springs Florida and served as the Florida Chaplain 2009-2010. He also served as The National Chaplain. He was predeceased by his parents, Ancil Eugene and Alice Willene Wilson, and His brother, Ancil Eugene Wilson Jr. Survivors include a sister Susan Fowler (Jeff) of Wauchula, FL. Three Nieces: Sabina Fitgerald (William) of Amarillo, Tx.; Allison Ivey (Timothy) of Fort Myers, FL; Kristin Wilson of Ellenton FL.; one Nephew, Ancil Eugene Wilson III of Ellenton FL. As well as many wonderful cousins and friends who carry so many fond memories of him. His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at The North Jetty. Park 1000 S Casey Key Rd. Nokomis, FL 34275 at 2:00 P.M. (that’s South of Nokomis Beach) Please bring a camp, lawn or beach chair to sit in. We will be setting up near the Pavilion.
