Joseph J. Siracusa Jr., 73, of Punta Gorda passed away November 2, 2022 at Tidewell Hospice. He was born July 19, 1949, in Newark, New Jersey to the late Joseph J. Siracusa Sr. and Emma A. Dandeo-Siracusa. He is preceded in death by his father & stepmother, Joseph & Phyllis Siracusa.
Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Marines during Vietnam. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 103. He was dedicated to the Marines Toys For Tots Program that enables the Marine Corps to bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children; for which he received numerous awards & recognition from Charlotte County United States Marine Corps Reserve, The American Legion, and most recently from the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots “Commander’s Award”.
Joseph loved fishing, cooking and playing darts as well as making model planes, and collecting antique toys & lunch boxes.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother Emma A. Allen, Stepfather Donald A. Allen, his son Houston J. Siracusa, his sisters: Joanne Siracusa, Elaine Siracusa-Magid & her husband Bruce S. Magid, Melody Abline & her husband James, three nephews: John, Joseph, James Rodrigues and their families, his best friends John & Nancy Negri, his Fiancée Hope Welch, and multiple cousins.
We’ll miss Joe’s firm but gentle manner, his kind, giving, generous heart, his teasing sense of humor, his voice, smile and beautiful eyes. Go with God & Rest in Peace
