Margo left her hometown for Washington D.C. after graduating from high school to be closer to her sister and expand her horizons. The entirety of her career was spent in the D.C. area, beginning as an executive assistant to the Vice President at Boeing then moving on as a statistician there. Having a natural talent in marketing, she transitioned to this field at varies companies where she spent two successful decades earning many accolades. During this era, she enjoyed traveling to warmer tropical locations such as Hawaii and most of the Caribbean Islands and towards the end enterprising Margo attended and graduated Magma Cum Laude from Northern Virginia Community in 1987 in the field of General Studies. In 1989 her achievements caught the eye of Fred Kopf, who was looking for the right person to catapult sales for his newly acquired Maid Brigade franchise. He hired Margo to launch this business and eventually she became President. Meeting and surpassing expectations, sales and market shares significantly increased. Profitability afforded the ability in 1993 to open another company as a joint venture between Fred and Margo, Fremar Enterprises, Inc. Amid establishing two new companies, Margo and Fred developed a deeper bond. They wed on December 8th, 1996, enjoying 26 years of marriage. When retirement was approaching and longing to enjoy her remaining birthdays sans snow as well as an environment better suited to Fred’s health, they moved from Haymarket Virginia in 2005 to Port Charlotte, Florida. Always active, full of energy and a lifelong commitment to health and exercise, Margo took Tai Chi classes and enjoyed it so much she became a certified instructor. Both Margo and Fred spent over 10 years teaching The Living Smart Diabetes Self-Management Program and received recognition for their outreach efforts, helping to improve the lives of others affected by this disease. An avid tea enthusiast, a passion for fashion, Margo loved hats, photographing life events, music, dance, recipes, ethnic dining, and shopping. She had a knack for finding innovative and cutting-edge home product solutions for everyday life. She was exceptionally generous and thoughtful to all, working tirelessly to help those in need. Her final years were devoted to her beloved husband’s care. This beautiful soul will be missed but will remain in our hearts.
