Obituary of Jason Robert Riola Jr.

Jason Robert Riola Jr, 16, of Port Charlotte, Fl was killed in a tragic car accident on August 17, 2022. Born on January 12, 2006, he is the beloved son of Jason Riola Sr and Jacqueline Riola (Guimond), both of Port Charlotte. He recently attended Charlotte High School and previously attended Port Charlotte High School. Jay, as his family called him, was such a happy child. Always joking and pranking, he gave us 16 years of joy. A joyful, love-filled life that was tragically taken from us in a moment. His loss leaves a tremendous void in the lives of all who loved him. Jason loved computer gaming, bowling, foosball, skiing, and visiting amusement parks. He loved his family, his friends and his pets. He had aspirations to be in the automotive industry like his dad, who was also killed in the same accident. He is survived by his Mom, Jacqueline Riola (Guimond), his maternal grandparents, Michael and Patricia Guimond, his paternal grandparents, Gail Riola and Kenneth Griffith, aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo church, Port Charlotte, FL on September 9th at 1:00 pm (please arrive at least 15 minutes early). Following services, a procession will be led to Charlotte Memorial Cemetary in Punta Gorda, where a graveside service will be held, followed by a reception/tribute. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St Jude’s Childrens Hospital and/or Charlotte County Animal Rescue League.
