Obituary of Iva May Inman

Iva May Inman, beloved mother, daughter, grandma, great-grandma, great-great grandma and friend passed away in the early morning of 08/20/2022, at the age of 86, surrounded by family. We are heartbroken to lose someone so special and she will be deeply missed by all. Our mother was one of the strongest women to walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her. We will never be able to fill the space she left behind; “to the world she was a mother, to us she was the world”. She loved so many things: sewing, writing poetry, singing, music, travel, a good laugh, but most of all she loved us. She was preceded by her husband of 42 years, Harry Edward Inman and survived by brother, James Ambrose, sisters: Naomi Williams and Leota Noble, her children: Geraldine Velt (married to Gene), Kenneth Inman (married to Patty), Diane Ayers (married to Jim), Carl Inman (married to Robin), Danny Inman (married to Terry), Lori Davey (married to Faith), Bertha Chapman (married to Robert), Ruth Inman Simonet (married to Brian), 45 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 7+ great-great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to join us on August 27, 2022, at 9 AM for her funeral and graveside service, followed by a celebration of life at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indians Springs Cemetery, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
