Obituary of Lilian Enid Waldron
Lilian Enid Waldron was born on November 9th, 1923 to Bogart Edmund Waldron and Ruby Sealy in Georgetown, Guyana. She was the youngest of nine children, who preceded her in death: Rannie, Miriam, Leslie, Stanley, Oscar, Winston, Harold, and Florizel. Lilian passed away peacefully on Thursday January 27th and 11am in the comfort of her home. She is survived by 29 nieces and nephews, and hundreds more great nieces, nephews, and friends.
As a child she attended St Phillips primary school and then Central high school, in Georgetown Guyana. She then trained as a nurse and worked at Georgetown Public Hospital. She specialized in vaccinations for infectious diseases and travelled all over Guyana as a public health nurse, supervising vaccinations at schools and other entities.
Later in her life she moved to Brooklyn, and worked as a night nurse under the NYU Langone hospital system. She then retired and bought a home in Port Charlotte, Florida and spent her years entertaining, traveling, dancing, singing, and taking care of her long time love Everest and sister Florizel in their later years.
Lilian Enid Waldron was a wonderful, generous, caring, patient woman that will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
