Obituary of Donald Dean Campbell, Sr.

Donald Dean Campbell, Sr (Pops), 94, from North Fort Myers, FL passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 peacefully. Born April 17, 1927, in Crawfordsville, IN, Donald was a WWII Veteran in the Tank Division and a Prison Guard. As an entrepreneur he owned bars, restaurants, a motel, a day care center and even drove a school bus. His favorite past times was working in the yard, fishing, painting ornaments and watching Western movies. He was affectionately known as Pop’s to a wide circle of friends and family. His wife of 54 years Marjorie Ellen Campbell preceded him on Jan 3, 2001, followed by daughters Cheryl June Smith then Pamela Rose Fleming. He is survived by his son Donald Dean Campbell, Jr (Belinda JoJo Winn). He has 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Rd, Punta Gorda, FL, 33950 on Thursday, January 20th from 10:30am to 11am for family, 11am to 1pm general visitation and service and entombment to follow at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
