Obituary of Joseph Paul Kovitch

Joseph Paul Kovitch, 84, of Burnt Store Isles, Punta Gorda, FL, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Born October 26, 1937 in Chicago, IL, Joseph was a retired General Motors executive, in charge of Overseas Forecasts and finished his career in Motor Trading. He attended St. Joseph’s College and The University of Chicago, where he obtained his Masters Degree in Engineering. His interest included: Baseball, Bowling and Golfing. He played softball in the Charlotte County men’s league. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy; sons Stephen and David; parents Edward P. and Elizabeth (Downs) Kovitch; sister Kay Kovitch and brother Edward Kovitch. His ashes will be placed in the niche alongside his wife Dorothy’s at a later date. Arrangements are by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made in Joseph’s name to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
