Obituary of Janice Lyn Brice

Janice Lyn Brice (Varg) was summoned by God to be a special angel watching over all his children. She passed away peacefully at home at Emerald Lake in Punta Gorda, Florida. Janice was born October 29th, 1949 in Worcester, MA to the late Bertran A. Varg and Virginia Lyon Varg. She moved to Ludlow, MA when she was 6 years old. Janice graduated from Ludlow High School in 1967. She worked at ST. Paul Insurance & the Wallstreet Journal for twenty years. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jack Brice, of Punta Gorda, Florida, son Eric (his son Spencer) and wife Rebecca of Monson, MA, son Matthew and his wife Jennifer (their daughter Emma and son Jack) of Houston, TX, brother Ron and his wife Christine (her daughter Alison) of ST. Helena Island, SC., brother Paul and his life partner Christine McCarthy Smith of Weare, NH., sister Penny Racicot (daughters Jillian & Bethany) and her life partner Steve Fenno of Springfield, MA. Janice was a devoted wife, mother, sister & grandmother. She set a beautiful example of how a family loves and cares for us all. She will be greatly missed and dearly remembered. A private celebration of Janice’s life will be held at the convenience of the family at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American cancer society or a charity of your personal choice. May she rest in peace.
