My deepest condolences to the family and close friends of the Paulemon family. Mr Paulemom was a uncle figure within the Haitian community in Stamford,CT. Everyone respected him. A great elder and community service oriented man. A giant eagle has gone home to be with God. Well done! Well done! The angles singing as he drink one time in the kingdom of our Lord and Savior. God knows His name. Forever lives in my childhood memories as a great giant. He has earned his wings. He is in peace. I’m so glad that I was able to have a loving conversation with him this summer. He wanted to go home to his Lord. Peace of God be with his love ones.

Martin Heidegger said: As soon as man comes to life , he is at once old enough to die, to define human existence as being towards death. Death is the great mystery, but not a final. My good friend, Guillaume Paulemon was aware of this reality and was well prepared while waiting for the train (his words) in order to make the ultimate trip to Eternity. I never meet in my entire life as a priest somebody like Mr. Guillaume laughing and joking about his own imminent death! Frere Guillaume was a man of great faith, a true catholic, an apostle of the Virgen Mary, an exceptional believer, a wonderful community organizer and a very caring person. Even he was sick, from time to time, he left some messages for me with this remark: wa di mwen pa rele-w map cheke pou mwen we kijan ou ye ( Do not complaining that I am not calling you, this call is to check on you and see if everything is ok for you) I lost a good friend, a mentor and advisor.
Joining his wife Andreenne now in his Father’s House, : 4 “Then the King will say to YOU GUILLAUME: ‘Come, you who is blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. (Mt25,34)
Grief is difficult and nobody finds it easy, I am very sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.".
My sincere condolences

I will miss you greatly uncle Guillaume , especially our long conversation every Friday. You always said to me at the end of each conversation “if the train don’t come we will continue next time, either you call or I call”. My final moment was our face to face conversation we had on September 11th, we laughed and talked and shared a few stories. The Lord called you home, you will be missed mon oncle. Thank you for the memories.
~~~~~Rest in Peace~~~
The Haitian Community of the Greater Stamford Area is sadden by the death of Guillaume Paulemon who is one of its pioneers. Today we are enjoying the benefit of being the first Haitian Quasi-Parish of the Diocese of Bridgeport because of the great and generous heart of Guillaume and many others who didn't just think about their selfish needs, but work hard to leave the Haitian Community better than they have found it. May God welcome him as a good and faithful servant.
We present our deepest condolences to the Paulemon family and Friends. We will continue to pray for the repose of Guillaume's soul.
The Paulemon family was a household name in the Haitian community of Stamford back in the days. Everybody knows everybody back then people was more friendly and helpful toward one another. Guillaume was always available to give a helping hand to people in need especially the “just come”. He may not have had the title of a community leader but he served in that capacity very well. Guillaume was a good person, a man of great character who enjoyed life, a devoted believer who profoundly practiced his faith.
I’m pleased to have had the opportunity of visiting him and being around him months before he passed. He reminisced on the old days in Stamford and reminded me of the area in Stamford they had nickname “Quartier general” it was called that because it was like a landmark or a lighthouse or a meeting point where Haitians would meet. Though I wasn’t there then but it sounds real cool. For those of you who are from Stamford, I think that’s “Atlantic Street”. Another spot where people used to love to meet was at church St John in the Sunday afternoon service. To the best of my recollection, Guillaume would be one of the first one to arrive. He never missed a single service. He would welcome and greet you with a nice friendly and sincere smile which makes you feel very comfortable.
I send my deepest condolences to the Paulemon family.
And to Guillaume I want to say thank you for your hard work and dedicated service to your family, community and friends. God bless. May you rest in peace.
I am truly sorry for your loss actually this is a loss that will be felt everywhere simply because he was such an amazing man, friend, advisor, and brother. We had our phone conversations every sunday, and you were such a big brother to me making sure I was ok while taking care of your little brother, sometimes you would just allow me to cry when I needed. To say that you were an amazing man is completely an understatement. I already miss your voice but I know you will be forever in my heart.
My deepest sympathy to our loving family Paulemon. My fond memories of your dad is when I used to go to Connecticut to spend the summer with our cousins, despite your dad was coming home from a hard day of work. He was always smiling and hospitable towards us staying at his home. I can see why our cousins were kind too because they had great examples. RIP until God called you as stated at Revelations 21:3,4 .
