Obituary of Allan Francis Bowen

Allan “Al” Francis Bowen of North Port, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on May 24, 2021. He was 74 years old. Al was born on January 7, 1947 in Canton, Ohio to Franklin and Ruth (nee Bowling) Bowen. After earning an MBA from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, Al enjoyed a 42-year career in consulting as a computer programmer. After retiring, he and his wife, Pam moved to southwest Florida, where they appreciated spending time outdoors in the year-round warm weather. Al enjoyed woodworking, small engine repairs, traveling and more, but most of all, he treasured the time he spent with family and friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Ruth. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Pamela “Pam” Miller Bowen; son, Shawn Bowen; and daughters, Lori Bowen and Leah Kenny. A celebration of Al’s life will take place on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. James Episcopal Church in Port Charlotte, where Al and Pam were members. The Rev.
