Obituary of Mary Ann Bobbin

Mary Ann Bobbin, 86 of Punta Gorda, FL passed away peacefully on February 3, 2021 under the loving care of Tidewell Hospice. She was born on September 15, 1934 in Greenwich, CT to the late John and Marie (Brady) McHugh. Mary Ann attended the University of Connecticut and Fordham University (NY) and graduated from Berkeley Business School (NY). She enjoyed her career as a Medical Records Coding Specialist for Hospitals and in 1987, moved from Greenwich, CT to this area to enjoy her retirement in the year-round warmer weather. Mary Ann was a Mahjong player and active in several organizations including the Isles Yacht Club, Peace River Power Squadron, American Health Information Management Association, Military Officers Association and Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association. She led her life by example and was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Punta Gorda) and their Guild of Our Lady ministry. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, George “Ted” Bobbin; brother, John McHugh; and sister, Kathleen Murphy and is survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws and other family and friends, all who loved and will greatly miss Mary Ann. Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass to celebrate Mary Ann’s life on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 W. Charlotte Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
