Obituary of Wilma Graves

Wilma Jewel Graves, age 95, of Punta Gorda, Florida, died peacefully in her home on February 15th, 2021. She has reunited with her beloved husband of 61 years, Earl (Dusty) Graves. She was born in Bedford, Kentucky on February 3rd, 1926. She moved from Kentucky to Florida in 1961. Wilma was a homemaker and a member of the Charlotte Country Music Association and a member of the Eagles. Her hobbies included dancing, camping, and buggy riding with family and friends. Wilma is predeceased by her parents Norvil and Lena Alexander, her husband Earl (Dusty) Graves, four brothers Howard, Robert, Delmar and Donald, and three sisters Lola, Sally and Norma. Wilma is survived by her brother Doug (Carolyn) Alexander and sister Joann Lawson and her children Ronald Graves, Gregory (Deborah) Graves, Bonita (Jim) Birchenough, and Shane (Christy) Graves. She is also survived by seven grandchildren (Ronald, Rhonda, Mark, Jennifer, Travis, Lena, and Justin), eleven great grandchildren (Brandon, Alexandria, Madison, Tristan, Wyatt, Nathan B., Ellie, Karlee, James, Nathan and Kiersten), and 2 great great grandchildren (Landon and Jailea). There will be a visitation for Wilma on Thursday, February 18, 2021 starting at 11:15 a.m. at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home in our chapel. Services will begin at 1 p.m. at the same location. Wilma will be entombed with her beloved husband in our cemetery following services. Charlotte Memorial is located at 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950.
