Obituary of David W. Stone

David W. Stone, 55, of Port Charlotte, Florida, went to be with Jesus on December 15th, 2020, following a sudden heart attack. He was born on April 3, 1965 in Torrance, California and grew up in Southern California, enjoying sports, friendships and having fun. He graduated from Nampa High School in 1983. David had a lifelong loving heart. He loved his Savior Jesus, his family, the great outdoors and the whole world. Skiing, snorkeling and traveling were just a few of his hobbies. Everywhere he traveled, he picked up new accents and local sayings for his vocal artistry avocation. One never knew who would answer the phone! Dave was filled with the Holy Spirit. He studied the Bible, led study groups, exhibited his joy in being God's child and always strove to do God's will. When he found his biological family and Judy, his biological mom, there was delight in discovering shared family traits - from loving to sing, to working with his hands, to his awesome sense of humor and the famous nose and smile. David loved his family, Jolene (deceased) and Will and Laurie Stone of Idaho. He delighted in and was awed by being a Dad and Grandpa and was proud of and greatly loved his daughter, Bonita of California; her wonderful children, Noah, Luke and Maezie; his son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Taylor of Idaho; and their adorable sons, Quinn and Beau. Dave was gentle, kind and helpful, especially with the way he cared for Lyssa, the love of his life and wife for over 23 years. They shared a special bond and made many beautiful memories together and especially cherished their time spent in Tahiti, traveling there 3 times to revel in its relaxed atmosphere. David will be greatly missed by all of those he touched and were fortunate to have known him.
