Obituary of Walter R. Happe

Survived by: Wife, Patricia Happe Brother, Glenn (Linda) Happe Daughter, Sherry (Craig) Rider Sons, Kirk and Robert Saunders Grandchildren, Farah Rider, Brad Saunders, Paige Saunders, Jake Saunders, Jordan Saunders, Jessie (Shane) McClenan Four Great Grandchildren (all residing in California) Nephew, Fred Happe Niece, Mary Arelt Preceded in death: Parents, Fred (Mary) Happe Brother, Fred Happe Jr. Son, Ronnie Happe He was a member of Charlotte Sports Modelers Society. His passion was music, but his hobby was flying model airplanes. He served as a worship Leader for 25 years in various churches. He has been a member of Awaken Church in North Port, Florida for four years. There he served as a greeter and a prayer team member. He fought the good fight and he has now won the race. He died peacefully after a short battle with an aggressive form of cancer and went to be with Jesus listening to the song, “Our God is an Awesome God!” He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A military service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery once the COVID19 restrictions are lifted.
