Obituary of Peter Langmaid

Peter Squire Langmaid, age 72, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 at his home in Punta Gorda, Florida. Peter was born in Brookline, MA to the late Peter Gordon Langmaid and late Elsie Jane (Moorhouse) Langmaid. He was devoted to his family, faith, and friends. Upon his graduation from Watertown High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force and during his enlistment he defended his country proudly in Vietnam. Following his service to his country Peter protected and served his community for 23 years with the Sudbury Police Department. Peter and his wife Sheryle relocated to Thornton, NH to open Thornton General Store where he served their new community. They sold the store seven years later, moved to the neighboring community of Lincoln, NH and Peter moved on to Pollard Brook Resort as the Director of Security. He also continued to support the Law Enforcement community as Bail Commissioner for all the surrounding Police Departments. In 2015 Peter and his wife relocated to Punta Gorda, Florida. Peter is survived by his wife, Sheryle (Cutler) Langmaid and their combined family; son, PJ Langmaid and his wife Lisa, daughters Tracy (Langmaid) Berry and her husband Dave, Cathy Langmaid, and Rebecca (Fucci) Reis, granddaughters Samantha Berry, Brook Langmaid, and Nicole (Fucci) Canzano and her husband Domenic, his sister Jane (Langmaid) Cutting and many nieces and nephews. The Celebration of Life Memorial service and burial are being delayed due to current world conditions. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Military Heritage Museum, 900 W.
