Obituary of Joanne H. Volage

Joanne H. Volage, 82, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Madison, CT, passed away on January 19, 2020. Joanne was born on October 9, 1937 in Waterbury, CT to Josephine (nee Nelson) and William C. Hogan. She retired as the Director of Communication at Waterbury Hospital. Joanne was a member of the Women’s Guild of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda, FL, Coastal Camera Club in Madison, CT, and a historian as well as an award-winning photographer. Survivors include her sons, Mark (Cindy) Volage of Charlestown, RI, and Scott Volage, with whom she made her home; sister, Eileen Hogan (Jerry) Boulay of Rotonda West, FL and Wolcott, CT; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis G. Volage, and by her twin brothers, William N. Hogan and George N. Hogan. A prayer service will be held on Friday, January 24th at 11AM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 29th at 11AM at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church.
