Obituary of Hubert Hudson, Sr.

Hubert “Hubie” Bryan Hudson, Sr., 89, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Glen Burnie, MD, passed away on October 3, 2019.  Hubert was born on January 13, 1930 in Bath, NC to Bryan Harland Hudson and Pearl Almeta Jannette.  He was a U.S. Gypsum Co. foreman for 43 years, retiring in 1996.  He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1947-1954, receiving the World War Victory Medal.  Hubert coached little league, was a deacon in church, enjoyed traveling and cruising, loved spending time with his family and working in the yard.

Survivors include the love of his life and best friend of 32 years, Anna Hudson; children, Hubert Jr. (Tricia) Hudson, Paul (Gloria) Hudson, Nora (Bruce) Koran, Linda (Bob) Bishoff, Janet (George) Spitzler, Nancy (Harold) Summers, Dale (Mike) Noble, and Greg (Mary) Yocum; 20 grandchildren; and 38 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son, Richard Hudson, and his brothers, William and Marvin Hudson.
