Obituary of Sondra Davis

Sondra L. Davis, age 69, residence of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on Wednesday, 21 August 2019, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital.

Born 13 September 1949 in Hartford, CT, the daughter of Gladys O. (Archer) Johnson and the late Edward Davis.  Along with her mother she leaves behind to mourn, her brothers Michael S. Davis (Julia), CT, and Edward M. Davis, CT, stepsisters Kathy Robinson (John), FL, and Sandy Johnson, CT, niece Brittany and Devin Davis, CT, cousins Loretta Jones and Alicia Littman Teal, CT, and Dolores Weld, AZ, Will Fowler, FL (affectionately referred to by Sondra as her son), and her main man Bob Tailless (her cat) along with her extended family in Florida, Connecticut.

Sondra was predeceased by her father Edward Davis and stepfather Gilbert Johnson, stepsister Pauline Wiggins and stepbrother Gilbert Johnson, Jr.

She graduated from Weaver High School in Hartford, CT in 1966. Sondra later settled in Homestead Florida. She was a devoted and dedicated Christian all her life with a robust Christian family. She taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church. She made a beautiful solo recording with St. Johns Full Gospel Deliverance Temple Choir and provided her voice to various choirs. She spent most of her career in the banking industry.

Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 459 Gill Street, Punta Gorda, Florida, 33950, Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11 AM., Pastor Bill Frank presiding.  Repass will be held at the church following service.

In keeping with Sondra’s loving and generous spirit, those who wish may send memorial donations to First Baptist Church.
