Obituary of Shirley F. Knef

Shirley F. Knef, 80, of North Port, Florida passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Knef was born August 7, 1932 in Napanoch, New York to William and Myrtle (nee Irwin) Bosch and moved to this area 1 year ago from Smithtown, NY. She was an antique dealer for 40 years and was of Catholic faith. Mrs. Knef is survived by her son, John K. (Elaine) Knef of Bohemia, NY; daughters, Patricia A. Knef of Center Moriches, NY, Diane M. (Michael) McGrath of Port Charlotte, and Virginia G. Hager of North Port, FL; brother, William Bosch of Dunnellon, FL; and 9 grandchildren, Michael, Janice, Katherine, Samantha, Brittany, Melissa, Timothy, Grace, and Kadie. Family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30AM on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Paul Schelm Funeral Home, 12687 SW County Road 769 in Lake Suzy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 21505 Augusta Avenue in Port Charlotte. Burial will be at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY.
