Obituary of Richard J. Roat

Richard J. Roat, 80, of Homewood, Illinois died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, IL. Mr. Roat was born January 26, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Richard and Beatrice (nee Tichalski) Roat and moved to Port Charlotte area 21 years ago from Oaklawn, Illinois before returning to Illinois. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Mr. Roat is survived by his sons, Richard J. Roat, Jr. of Tinley Park, IL, John J. Roat of Sanora, WI, and Terrance M. Roat of Blue Island, IL and 3 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 8, 2010 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
