Obituary of Robert R. Becker

Robert R. "Bobbie/Bob" Becker, 70 of North Port, Florida. Passed away peacefully March 2, 2019. He was born November 11, 1948, in Chicago, IL to the parents of Harriet M. and Homer R. Becker. Robert resided in Batavia, IL for several years before moving to Florida. While living in Batavia he worked with the Saupp Tree Trimming Service. He also met the love of his life, Barbara Duquette. They started their new life in North Port, FL. Where together they started their landscaping business, The Busy Bees. The also took care of their "kids" the dogs. Their love for animals was very strong. In Bob's younger years he was an outstanding gymnast, a powerful swimmer, and an archer, which he was top notch with a bow and arrow. His favorite hobby was raising Hawks. He had such a zest for life. Robert is survived by his sisters, Bonnie J. Becker-Learie of Plano, IL, Barbara J. Becker-Krause (Charles E. Krause) of Streator, IL, Bette J. Becker-Anderson of Sandwich, IL, and Elizabeth Becker-Senne (Kevin Senne) of South Elgin, IL. Several Nieces and Nephews. His best friend and employee, Stephen Wisnieski of North Port, Fl. Step Children, Edward DuQuette of Marseilles, IL, Susan DuQuette of Venice, FL, Jeffery DuQuette, (Cathy DuQuette) of Montgomery, IL. Grandkids, Brittany Marshall of Naperville, IL, and Zachary DuQuette of Dallas, TX. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Harriet and Homer Becker. His Grandparents, Marion and Harry Shields and Gertrude and Harry Becker. His sister, Diane M. Becker-Thompson, and several aunts and uncles. His beloved wife, Barbara Becker.
